Flexible cell designs
Glencore Technology offers a wide range of Jameson Cell sizes in the latest standard Mark V design for a number of applications. However, some industries have special requirements and Jameson Cells are designed with unique features specifically to suit the application.
Our 'all-in-one' cells are ideal for brownfield projects as they require minimal space and auxiliary equipment. Our larger circular cell designs however allow for the cell to be place in a separate location to that of the feed tank thus providing the user with flexibility in plant layout, reducing the footprint requirement, and allowing the utilise gravity flow where possible.
Features incorporated into Jameson Cell design for specific industries include:
- use of stainless steel or Fibreglass Reinforced Plastic (FRP) material tanks and/or components for SX-EW as specified/required by the site
- large (500mm diameter) downcomers for high flowrate applications in Oil Sands and SX-EW applications
- special tank designs incorporating unique tailings recycle for Oil Sands and SX-EW applications
- flexible designs for froth washing using either rings trays as appropriate for the duty and application
- cross launders to increase cell lip length to maximise flotation recovery.

- Standard cell sizes listed. Other cell sizes and shapes can be designed to meet specifications of client and project.
- Cell sizing based on volumetric flowrate only and may vary depending on application, specific duty and flowsheet design. Carrying capacity and lip loading considerations may alter cell sizing.
